This is Bethlehem, well I guess behind me is. Its not the whole scene: so if you look at my shoulders there is a ridge-that’s not it. There is another ridge above that, like near my eyes. Behind that ridge is Bethlehem. It stretches from the buildings on the left (in the distance) to all over to the right past what the picture sees. At the time of chirst the town only held somewhere around 2000 people. So when King Herod came to slaughter all the firstborns up to the age of 2, he was only (I say that carefully) killing like 20 or so infants. Which I mean is a terrible thing, but I always imagined it was a lot more than that.
